New Payment Rules for Medicines and Medical Device Registration in Uzbekistan

It is only the Marketing Authorisation Holder (MAH) or duly nominated under the power of attorney representative can act as an applicant in regulatory procedures. It is important to note that only the applicant with a valid Uzbekistan state digital signature can make the payment. The payment period is set at 60 days from the invoice date and under new regulations no contract for the procedure is issued any longer. Unlike previously, the state fees are now paid to the State Treasury of Uzbekistan and not to the Health Authority. These fees are also treated as state duties and are exempt from VAT.
